I want to be like Jill!

What does Jill have that I want??? Amazing pictures of her family!!!

So since I think I already have a handsome hubby and cute kids (as does Jill)... I figured all I need now is a good camera (like Jill). So now that Kyle finally got me my dream camera (Yeah for husbands who spoil their wives), with a little help deciding what that was from Jill, I am sure to capture some great shots. If I do not then I guess I will just have to accept that when it comes to having an eye for great pictures... Jill and I are just not in the same boat!

So here is what I have done with my new toy (The Nikon D-60) in it's first 24 hours:

at home:

at our picnic today... they need some work but I was playing with things and obviously I didn't know what I was doing.

Things I love about the camera... it takes the pictures super fast, I can edit them on the LCD screen, all the fun options and it has an AUTO setting so I don't need to really learn how to use it.

Things I'm not so thrilled about... you have to look through the little eye hole when capturing a shot, losing the ability to capture the short little videos, it's kind of complicated and it's bigger and that's it!

Rochelle, tell Brent to start saving his points... the camera is in the SF catalog. I hope he knows those shopping catalogs for agents are for the wives!!!!

See! It's all about the camera and has nothing to do with talent. Now my secret is out, thanks a lot. Great pics!

Yeah right! If only that were true... the more I play with this thing the moer I realize the talent part is going to play big in th eoutcome of my pictures... at least these are better than my cheapy camera.

Great pictures! If you ever decide to get another lens, I highly recommend a fixed-length lens (no zooming) with about a 50mm focal length that opens up to around 1.7 or so aperture. We get great shots from the zoom lens, but the shots we get with our fixed-length lens are even better! What a difference a few 'little' things make with these cameras.

I'm excited you got your wish!

Cute pictures! I have always wanted to try one of the real nice digital cameras. I have also wondered if I could take better pictures with them. I may never know. :o)

Pretty good for a first try with your new camera but with those subjects how could you go wrong. Now, I am going to have to find me a better camera (really, my lens cover doesn't open and it has scratches and it is old and it is outdated I am sure and there are more things wrong I just can't think of them at the moment).

My favorite is the pic of Avery by the creek. It's so "in the moment."
